• Newsweek continues their insightful series on the 2008 Presidential Campaign with Part 2 covering John McCain called “Back from the Dead“. Our coverage of Part 1 of the series covered Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama through the New Hampshire 2008 primary. This series is remarkable because Newsweek has published one of the first in-depth and behind the scenes look at what it took to win the 2008 Presidential Election.
• We believe the appeal of John McCain during the primary season was that he was seen as different than George W. Bush even though he supported most of Bush’s policies. He had a distinctive personality that was vastly different than the rest of the Republican candidates plus McCain was seen as a moderate to conservative to many voters.
