Expert Tip. The best way to see a large part of Berlin is to spend an hour or so on a number 100 bus. The bus route passes by all the main sights, including the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, and the State Opera. It also goes into East Berlin and offers some opportunities to see what the east of the city was like under Communism, before the collapse of the Berlin wall.
