| Description | Location. Built in 1872, the grand, ornate Hotel Kummer is situated two kilometres from Vienna city centre at Stephansplatz, the mid point of two kilometres of shops, restaurants, and cafés lining Mariahilfer Strasse. Vienna International Airport is 25 kilometres from the hotel.
Hotel Features. Hotel Kummer offers guests a sense of Vienna's ornate style in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The lobby includes brass chandeliers, walls with marble insets and hand painted accents, and brocade seating. Rising from the lobby through five storeys is a grand staircase topped by a stained glass skylight that is illuminated at night. With classical music playing in the background and crystal chandeliers overhead, guests can relax in the lounge, where complimentary wireless Internet access and newspapers are provided.
Hotel Kummer Restaurant features crystal chandeliers and light fixtures, red carpets, pale gold walls, antique gold drapes, and fresh flowers, and serves Viennese and international fare for lunch and dinner.
