Distance to the Residence Georgio is 35 kilometres, approximately 45 minutes' drive.
Getting there. The suburban rail line connects the airport to Athens' central station, Larissis Station. Single tickets cost 8 EUR. Additionally, metro line 3 runs between the city centre and the airport. Six public bus routes cover Athens and Piraeus, as well as running to Athens Rafina Port. Taxis can be found in front of arrivals, Door 4, and cost about 25 EUR to the city centre. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. The hotel is in downtown Athens, 300 metres from the National Archaeological Museum and 50 metres from Omonia Metro station. Public transport throughout Athens is inexpensive and convenient. Services include buses, trams, trolley buses and a metro service. Tickets should be validated at the orange machines on board or in metro stations. Taxis are also available and are reasonably priced. Visitors are advised not to drive in the city. Valet parking and a parking garage are available.

Hotel Features. Occupying an impressive contemporary building, the hotel boasts a modern marble floored lobby with floor to ceiling windows and views of the Acropolis.
The Melia Athens' Captain's Bar and Restaurant offers poolside dining, where guests can enjoy ice creams, snacks and drinks with Acropolis views. At night the restaurant is lit by candles. The all day Café Mondo serves international cuisine, coffees and snacks. Modern Mediterranean cuisine and international favourites are on offer at Vivendo restaurant during the winter months. The Piano Bar serves vintage champagne, cocktails and cigars from a trolley. Room service is available 24 hours.
The hotel has three meeting rooms, for up to 50 people. A business centre and wireless Internet access are available at the hotel.
The Melia Athens' health club has a gym, steam room, sauna and massage. On the rooftop, there is a 20 metre swimming pool and jetted tub, offering panoramic views over the city and Acropolis.

Expert Tip. There's excellent shopping near the hotel, with Athens' Kolonaki Square shopping area and the flea market at Monastiraki both within two kilometres.
