Alexandria University - In 1942, it was established under the name Farouk University. Its name was changed to the University of Alexandria in 1952.
Mansoura University - The Faculty of Medicine was founded in 1962 as a branch of Cairo University. Its name was changed to East Delta University in 1972, and to University of Mansoura in 1973.

Menoufiya University - The University of Menoufiya was established in 1976 in order to meet the increasing demand for university education through Egypt.
South Valley University - Began in October 1970 as branche of Assiut University. The University was separated in 1995.
Suez University - Suez University was established in 1976 to develop Suez and Sinia areas in Egypt.
Tanta University - Tanta University started in 1962/1963 as a branch of Alexandria University by establishing the faculty of Medicine.
Zagzig University - In was established 1969 as a branch of Ain-Shams University, becoming an independent university in 1974. Today it includes 21 faculties and Higher Institutes; seven Faculties at Banha, One at Moshtohor and the rest at Zagzig.
