Irving, TX -- Gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous. I take exceptional care of my horns. It takes me nearly a half an hour to swab, shine and dry the pads after every use, and the action and sounds is nothing short of fantastic. I play a lot of ballads, so I like nice warm subtones. But when I do altissimos it handles these with just as much ease. The pads are in attractive shape. The only problem is a small scratch on the gooseneck. I thought about buying another gooseneck, as opposed to having it refinished, and affecting the sound. But I didn't want to shell out $400. It comes with a Vandoren Jumbo Java T-75 mouthpiece, which is a little bright. I desire a darker sound. I would recommend at least a Rovner ligature (about $20). In the meantime this "Lavoix" is a dynamite horn. Outside of the small scratch on the gooseneck, it's in like new condition.The case is also in perfect shape. You won't really appreciate what I'm talking about until you see it, feel it, play it.
