California Speech Communication Organization - Founded circa 1994, this state-level organization primarily promotes speech education in high schools. Erratically updated site includes membership information.

H-Rhetor - Scholarly discussion board, primarily on rhetoric issues. Linked to H-Net's academic announcements.

New Jersey Communication Association (NJCA) - State-level academic organization with explicitly eclectic interests provides online index to The New Jersey Journal of Communication.

Association for Chinese Communication Studies - Promotes the study of communication as part of Chinese culture. Online research archives, plus links to books and articles.

Central States Communication Association - Organization for scholars in the midwestern United States. Conference information and submittal standards for its journal, Communication Studies.

Western States Communication Association - Organization for scholars in the western United States. Includes conference information and manuscript submission guidelines for Western Journal of Communication and Communication Reports.

World Communication Association - Scholarly group focuses on Pacific Rim communication issues, although other regions are represented. Newsletter, research links, conference information. Some sections are rarely updated.

Religious Communication Association - Scholarly group for the study of homiletics and other communication in religion. Online table of contents and a few articles from The Journal of Communication and Religion, starting in 1995.

Eastern Communication Association - Professional association for communication scholars in the northeastern United States. Site includes submittal requirements for Communication Research Reports and Communication Quarterly.

Canadian Communication Association - Bilingual scholarly group focused on Canadian communication issues. Site includes conference information and basic research links. Also known as Association Canadienne de Communication.
